Strange Days, Let's Go Squatching: The Search for Bigfoot 30 Nov, 2010

We were going to be clever and title this post, "Bob Saget X Bigfoot." But decided to go with what the twitterverse calling it.

We are very excited to see A&E's Strange Days with Bob Saget. The "Let's Go Squatching" episode Premiers Today (Tuesday, November 30th) at 7:30 PST on the west coast. If you have Comcast its on Channel 752. If you do not have Comcast, look it up.

The blurb below is provided by A&E's website.

Bob travels to the Pacific Northwest to search for Bigfoot with the BFRO, the Bigfoot Field Research Organization. Along the trip he meets some interesting characters who all have their own Bigfoot experiences, and take Bob into the wilderness so he can hopefully have his own. Bob tags along on search expeditions in the deep woods in the middle of the night with all the latest hi-tech equipment and night-vision technology. The woods are full of characters on a weekend like this one.

The picture above features Craig Flipy, Bob Saget, and holding the "Samurai Sword" is James "Bobo" Fay. How Bobo got that sword is actually explained here

You can get the inside scoop from the folks that were there with Bob Saget.

Bob Saget's "Strange Days" Looks for Bigfoot

In a "presser" released back in November of last year(2009) A&E announced a new reality show titled "Strange Days" hosted by none other than Bob Saget. The press release continues on..
"A&E Network announced today a new original real-life series, "Bob Saget's Strange Days," (working title) which busts down barriers to investigate some of America's most fascinating and mysterious worlds. Documenting his journey around America, Saget immerses himself in different unusual cultures from the world of mail-order brides to joining a survivalist cult prepping for the end of the world to rushing a fraternity. The series is currently in production on seven one-hour episode slated for premiere in 2010...

..."Bob Saget's Strange Days" will enable viewers to get an insightful understanding of what makes individuals tick in these alternative lifestyles and daring situations. Bob will also uncover the humanity and the shared values inside all of these odd and absurd situations that each of us will be able to relate to."

Looks like filming has begun and one of the episodes will cover Bigfooting. Our good friend Cliff Barackman has the scoop on his blog, North American Bigfoot. We insist you read the whole story on there, but first, allow us to whet your appetite with a teaser paragraph.

In his post, Cliff Barackman shares Bob Saget's interest and reactions to to being on a Bigfoot Expedition.

"Bob accompanied several of us on a night walk on Friday night. He was mesmerized by the night vision technology that we use in our quest for footage, passing the units around to all the crew members even if it meant they needed to temporarily drop their cameras. He was amused by our efforts to call to sasquatches, but highly respectful at the same time. In fact, his attitude throughout was one of respect for us. I expected him to heckle us a lot more than he did."

Fans, you absolutely need to read the rest of this at the link provided below. Cliff provides more stories and more photos at his blog.
